Geelong Cats hope to take best team to Perth for Freo Game

GEELONG appears set to unveil its best available line up on Saturday when it confronts Fremantle at Subiaco in the final practice match before round one.

The Cats are facing a race against time to be match-ready for the season-opener against Essendon after their practice match against Brisbane was abandoned on Saturday due to Melbourne's ferocious storm.

New time, venue for Freo clash

The AFL has moved both the venue and time for Geelong’s clash with Fremantle on Saturday. The game will now be played at Fremantle Oval and will begin at 1pm.

The Cats beat Fremantle twice last season, winning by 19 points in round 12 at Subiaco, and by 40 points in round 22.

Cats headed to Perth

Geelong will face Fremantle in its final practice game of 2010.

The match will be held at Subiaco on Saturday (13 March) beginning at 4:30pm.

The Cats beat Fremantle twice last season, winning by 19 points in round 12 at Subiaco, and by 40 points in round 22.

Geelong Cats to stick with tall forwards experiment

GEELONG will continue its three-man forward line experiment, despite receiving mixed reviews from the Cats coaching staff yesterday.

Cameron Mooney kicked three goals, while Tom Hawkins booted two and James Podsiadly one in the first real test of what the Cats hope can become their new-look forward structure.
