Cats vs Magpies plus Function & Open Training Day details

Catch the big clash against the Magpies this Friday – 5:50PM (WA/Perth time) at OP’s Tavern. Friday’s game will be Tom Lonergan’s 150th!

NOTE: The Perth Cats will have exclusive access to the downstairs function room next to the bottle shop. The Western Magpies group will be in the upstairs bar.

Here’s some news on the pregame function for The Cats’ Round 9 clash with the WCE at Domain Stadium (Subiaco) on Sunday 31 May:

– Running time – 11.30am to 1.30pm.
– Function cost – $45 adults; $20 kids (meal provided within price). This cost covers entry to the function and meal only.
– Bus from OP’s to the match and return to OP’s will probably cost $10 per head – yet to be confirmed as we are still negotiating with the company.
– Match tickets will be available for purchase through Perth Cats, however we are still waiting to hear from the club regarding the price; tickets will be limited and on a first in, first served basis.
Guest speakers: Steven Hocking (Director of football), Steve Hawke (author of Polly Farmer biography) and a surprise ex-Geelong footballer (TBC)

Game day raffle with some great prizes.

– Plus entertainment for the kids with a handball competition, showbags and face painting.

FINAL NOTE: We can confirm that the Geelong Cats will be holding an open training day in Perth on Saturday 30 May. This will be an opportunity to watch the players in training mode and provide photo and signing opportunities with some players. Again … more details soon!
