Carlton vs Geelong Cats – Round 19 – Etihad Stadium – Saturday 29 July 2017

Blues vs Cats

Hi Cats Fans,

A disappointing loss last Friday to the top of the table Crows but not the end of the world – apart from the Blicavs injury and Motlop’s continuing form which is mediocre at best. Most would be confident should we face the Crows again in September with some fitness issues sorted out. Jed Bews was again fantastic in keeping the electric Eddie Betts goalless for the first time this season.

This week we’re back under the Etihad roof to take on the rebuilding Carlton, who have proved to be a bit of a problem in recent times. While they have only defeated us once in eight games it took Joel Selwood to drag us to lucky victories in two of those games, so we can’t let up on the pressure to get back to winning ways. A heap of changes to the named team sees Cockatoo and Mack back and the likes of Thurlow and Buzza getting another chance.

Perth Cats will be at The Game Sports Bar this Saturday from 5pm for the game, which should be a cracker. There will be the usual discounts for drinks, the new diner is open and tickets on offer for the end of season raffle, which is again a framed guernsey signed by the entire 2017 squad.
